Lotschen Valley Attractive snow-sure ski area - a dream for ski and snowboard enthusiasts. LAUCHERNALP is the residential and skiing area of WILER and reached by a 5 minutes cable car run. The whole region is UNESCO classified and offering spectacular scenery. The skiing area offers 40km of prepared slopes of medium difficulties and a free ride arena of virgin slopes. It also provides access to a winter walking trail at over 3000 meters with an exceptional panoramic view. In summer the walk from the Lauchernalp across the Lotschenpass into the Bernese Oberland to Kandersteg ranks among the classics of the region.
